Your information.
SunBru stores the information you choose to submit to support your enquiry and private document portal.
What is stored
ChatGPT sign-in is used for private account features and provides your account identifier and email. Solar, battery, home EV charging and assessment enquiries do not require an account. Quote requests store your name, contact email, phone, postcode, calculator settings, installer preference, service interest, optional parking information, notes, consent and progress. Installer applications store company details. Uploaded handover files are stored with their filename, document category and upload date.
Quote checks without an account
The public quote checker calculates a comparison in your browser. Its entries are not sent to SunBru unless you submit the separate enquiry form. If you enquire, your quote figures and the planning-model summary are stored with your contact details for review. Your enquiry source is recorded as the quote checker; no installer is contacted automatically.
Solar hub and shop records
The solar hub stores the form details and attachments you save: quote comparisons, roof information, fault descriptions, equipment dates, kit requirements, tariff scenarios and generation logs. These are available to you and the SunBru owner. Installer updates attached to a project are also visible to the authorised project team and customer. Community registration stores your account and outward postcode area; aggregate area counts are shown to signed-in visitors. The shop stores your basket and quantities. Calendar files are downloaded for you to import; the site does not send reminders automatically.
EPC and retrofit enquiries
Assessment enquiries store your chosen service, name, contact email, optional phone, property postcode, property type, connection to the property, preferred timing, number of properties, assessment purpose, notes and consent. SunBru can add a customer-visible progress stage and note. Guest enquiries are visible to authorised SunBru administrators for manual review and follow-up. Existing account-linked enquiries remain visible to their account owner. Guest submissions are not automatically linked to an account using the contact email. They are not automatically shared with an assessor or installer. Submitting an enquiry does not make a booking, take payment or subscribe you to marketing.
Saved plans and project history
When you save a solar plan, your calculator settings and installer shortlist are stored against your account. Calculator and finder page addresses can also contain those settings, but not your name, contact details or documents. Sharing that address shares the settings. Project history records who made an update, their role and the date. Archiving a file hides it from the current handover pack; it does not delete the file. Authorised project users can still access archived files.
Understanding enquiry sources
When you send an enquiry, SunBru also stores any available broad source category, approved campaign label, first recorded public page, enquiry page and optional answer to how you heard about us. We use these to understand which routes produce useful enquiries. We do not store the referring website’s full address, search terms or arbitrary tracking parameters in this record. This feature uses no cookies, browser storage, advertising trackers or unique visitor identifiers. Public source labels may be carried in SunBru links as you move between pages, and a shared link may retain them. Missing information stays unknown; these labels are not proof of an individual’s browsing history.
The SunBru owner can review an enquiry as qualified, not qualified, duplicate or spam/test, recording the review time. Qualification requires a manual check of a genuine Scottish homeowner project and permission to follow up. This does not send a message or subscribe you to marketing.
Who can see it
You and the SunBru owner can access your existing account-linked enquiries and documents. New guest enquiries are initially visible only to the SunBru owner; solar, battery and home EV charger enquiries can be shared with an authorised installer through explicit assignment. An installer account approved by SunBru can access enquiries and documents assigned to its company. Other customers cannot see your records. Listing a company in the directory does not grant it access.
Why it is used
Information supports quote enquiries, installation progress and document handover. Submitting a request in this preview saves it for review; it does not automatically email an installer or connect to SunBru’s existing CRM. No marketing subscription is created.
Storage and your choices
SunBru uses managed database and file storage. To limit spam, short-lived hashed email and network-address counters expire after 15 minutes and are cleared by subsequent submissions. Submitted contact email addresses are unverified and do not grant access to customer records. It does not use advertising trackers. Downloads leave the platform and should be handled with care. To ask about access, correction or deletion, contact info@sunbru.co.uk. Avoid uploading identity documents, bank details or unrelated personal information.
