Comparing solar and battery quotes in Glasgow

Ask Jorro and OHMS Scotland to quote the same panel output, usable battery capacity and access arrangements. For a slate roof or an array split over two slopes, ask each to show the scaffolding and roof work separately.

Already have solar and only want a battery? Ask about a battery addition. These new-installation examples do not price a retrofit.

Turn a shortlist into comparable proposals

Ask for the same brief

Give each company the same annual electricity use, roof information and battery preference. Ask for the panel layout, total kWp, usable battery capacity and itemised installation scope.

Separate evidence from sales claims

Ask for written product and workmanship warranty terms, current accreditation evidence and who provides aftercare. Check what each generation and savings estimate assumes about shade, roof direction and tariffs.

Use the quote checker to compare a written price with SunBru’s illustrative model. A difference is a question to investigate, not proof that the quote or installer is wrong.

Solar in Glasgow City: the recorded picture

The DESNZ snapshot records 10,676 solar PV sites in Glasgow City at the end of 2025, compared with 10,037 in its revised 2024 series.

The figures include homes, businesses and larger sites. They do not show household adoption, local installer prices or what your roof will generate.

Check the property before committing

Ask the installer to assess the roof and identify any permissions or other approvals that your proposed work needs. A guide price does not establish roof suitability or permission to install.
